Happy Mother’s Day to all you fabulous Mom’s! May your day be blessed beyond measure and filled with the love that you have generously sown into the lives of those around you!

Now for the Dad’s and kids – if you haven’t bought a present or decided what to do, here’s a quick listing of a few of my favorite restaurants that I know your precious Mom would love to attend.

(1) Prince Court at the Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki puts on an awesome buffet spread! For reservations, call (808) 944-4494.

(2) C’est Si Bon at the Pagoda Hotel will be featuring local comedian Frank Delima today. Call (808) 955-4811 for prices and information.

(3) Chai’s Island Bistro will be featuring Robert Cazimero at a Mother’s Day Brunch Buffet. Reservations are recommended and you can call at (808) 585-0011.

(4) John Dominis will have their Sunday Brunch Buffet at their Kaka’ako restaurant.

(5) Hee Hing Restaurant – time for some dim sum? Visit this restaurant in Kapahulu for delectable Chinese cuisine.

As you can probably tell, I’m a big supporter of buffets, especially brunch buffets. If these ideas are a little pricey for you, here are some other places that are just as lovely and will still fit within your budget.

(1) Zippy’s Restaurants – I’m always a regular fan of Zippy’s and I know they’ll have a Mother’s Day special running!

(2) Pagoda Restaurant – not to be confused with C’est Si Bon which is across the street has a reasonably priced brunch buffet. If you can reserve on of the tea houses, that would be a great setting to dine in!

(3) Liliha Seafood – is my all time favorite Chinese restaurant. This place has kind of a rustic, hole-in-the-wall atmosphere, but the food and family who runs the place are outstanding!

Just in case eating is out of your schedule and budget, just know that the prices for flowers and leis have increased to reflect the season. Still, some orchids are great for the older Mom’s and Watanabe’s (on Nimitz) will always have something that will meet your needs!

Enjoy this special day and let your Mom know how blessed you are to have her in your life! If you’re not too busy, let me know what you did to celebrate your Mother’s Day!
